According to a Jan. 30 report from Bluegrass MMA, hard-hitting Kentucky brawler Jessamyn "The Gun" Duke (8-2, 1 NC, 1-0 UFC) is set to fight Brazilian striker Bethe "Pitbull" Correia (7-0, 1-0 UFC) on Apr. 26 at the Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, Maryland.
Duke, 27, has been training with Shayna Baszler, Marina Shafir and UFC bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey at Glendale Fighting Club, since her win over Peggy Morgan at The Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale in Nov. of last year.
"The Gun" hasn't tasted defeat since turning pro in 2012, and she has beaten some of the top female bantamweights in the world in recent years.
Duke went 2-0 with one no contest under the Invicta FC banner, before transitioning to the UFC in 2013.
As for Correia, the 30-year-old superstar is coming off a split-decision victory over WMMA legend Julie Kedzie.
Correia was a heavy underdog in that bout, but she walked away with her hand raised.
"Pitbull" hasn't tasted defeat in her seven appearances inside the cage.
UFC 172 features a headlining bout pitting light heavyweight champion Jon Jones against fast-rising striker Glover Teixeira.
In the UFC 172 co-main, Jake Ellenberger fights Tarec Saffiedine in a welterweight bout that could have serious title implications.
Also on the UFC 172 card, Max Holloway fights Andre Fili and Yancy Medeiros collides with Joe Ellenberger at lightweight.
It hasn't been announced yet if Duke vs Correia will be on the UFC 172 main card, or if it will be part of the prelims.
