Two months after the "Jersey Shore" series finale, Deena Cortese is getting back to her 'normal' life while using the fame she found on the MTV show to jump start her future. In an exclusive interview with Examiner.com today (Monday) the reality starlet opens up about her soon-to-launch clothing line, a revamped hair care line, and a big push to land a spot on "Dancing With the Stars Season 16."
"I'm getting a feel for the whole business aspect and moving forward with my hair and clothing line," Deena reveals. Currently, the New Jersey native is working with fabrics and designs to come up with pieces for her Summer Couture line. "It's going to be for women of all figures. It's a super cute look," she says adding the line will include blouses and dresses. "I'm hoping by next year it will be out and popular."
In addition to working on her clothing line, Deena also partnered with the hair care line Whisper in 2012. She'll relaunch the Whisper hair products in the coming months with a full line of products for all hair types. She's also been working with a voice coach and pushing for a spot on "Dancing With the Stars Season 16." "My name was on the table and they're talking about it, " the MTV reality star confirms. ABC will announce the DWTS Season 16 cast this week and the former high school dance team captain is hoping she'll earn a spot to compete for the Mirror Ball Trophy.
But what Deena tell us she likes most about her post-"Jersey Shore" days is just relaxing. "I'm enjoying the down time. I like being really normal and I'm going with the flow."
