MTV dropped the first full trailer for the next new "Jersey Shore" spin-off, "The Show with Vinny" this week (watch it on the left sidebar), but the network remains tight-lipped about when Vinny's new show starts. In a statement to Examiner.com, today (Saturday), a spokesperson for the network confirms, "(There's) no date yet." We can confirm, however, that Vinny Guadagnino's show will premiere sometime in 2013.
It's possible the answer to the burning question "When does Vinny's show start?" will come as we get further into "Snooki & JWoWW Season 2." The sophomore season of that MTV reality show premiered on January 8. In the past, the network has often run "Jersey Shore" and its spin-offs consecutively. That means there is the potential "The Show With Vinny" premiere could air in early April. (The "Snooki & JWoWW 2" finale is slated for March 26.)
Vinny Guadagnino is the fourth "Jersey Shore" star to land his own show behind DJ Pauly D, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, and Jenni "JWoWW" Farley. "The series will shatter the typical talk show format by taking the biggest celebrities out of the studio and into Vinny Guadagnino’s family home in Staten Island, New York," MTV confirmed in the original statement announcing Vinny's spin-off. Celebrities will join the Guadagnino family, including the "Jersey Shore" star's stereotypical-Italian mother, Paula, his sisters, and party boss, Uncle Nino at their Staten Island home for dinner and a candid conversation about pretty much whatever.
"The Show with Vinny" is being produced by "Jersey Shore" Executive Producer SallyAnn Salsano.
