Jersey Shore: Pauly D's spinoff to begin filming soon...very soon

DJ Pauly D will begin filming his Jersey Shore spinoff very soon, Examiner.com has learned. "Production on Pauly’s (spinoff) begins later this fall," an MTV spokesperson confirmed today (Thursday). Pauly previously hinted that his spinoff will film in Las Vegas - where he has an exclusive DJ residency at The Palms Casino Resort.

Pauly D's show will focus on his deejaying career and the tight knit group of friends who have become his family on the road - namely his longtime friend and bodyguard 'Big Jerry' and DJ Biggie. A pilot episode has already been shot and the show's executive producer (Jersey Shore's own SallyAnn Salsano) compares it to 'The Hangover.'

Pauly's new series will air on MTV beginning in 2012. The network confirms 12 episodes of Pauly D's upcoming spinoff has been ordered.

Jersey Shore Season 4 airs on MTV on Thursdays at 10pm ET/PT.
