Jersey Shore star DJ Pauly D has confessed he has a dangerous and potentially deadly addiction. Not that it will take Jersey Shore fans by surprise, but the over-tanned Rhode Island native has confessed he can't stop tanning.

In a new video that just hit the Internet today (Thursday), Pauly D says he's not only addicted to tanning, but his obsession is getting worse. "I wanna go tanning," Pauly D confesses to his pale housemates Vinny and Angelina. "I have a problem. I have an obsession and I think it's getting worse. Should I see somebody?" Pauly D apparently hasn't looked in the mirror recently because he compares his skin tone to that of a ghost and complains he actually misses his tanning bed (which he auctioned off for charity).
The Jersey Shore tanning obsession isn't just Pauly D's. Snooki has admitted she actually likes being compared to an "oompa loompa" and finds it a compliment when she's called "orange." She, however, has given up the tanning bed and has opted to get her orange glow from safer methods including spray tan (as seen in Jersey Shore Season 2's premiere).
The Jersey Shore tanning obsession has even caught the attention of President Barack Obama and Senator John McCain who've both referred to the MTV reality stars in their discussions on a tanning tax. Tanning beds have been linked to serious health risks specifically skin cancer. A study on tanning beds published in May 2010 found frequent use triples the risk of developing melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer.

Its part of who he is, we've been in the sun for our eternity. It's nothing new, although he is an over tanner, he is not ginger skinned type, he has an olive skin type and I doubt he is going to get cancer. Hes almost 30 and has less lines then a lot of people who are never in the sun so I think the nervous nellys should just cut the guy a break.
Look good while your young, cause when your old with less wrinkles...Your still old and un-wanted. I only tan occasionally by way of the real sun at the beach but I hate all the nannies complaining about people tanning... People do a lot of things that are bad, smoke, drink, drugs, gamble, we all have our vices.
How much is the American Academy of Dermatology paying this guy to say that crap on Jersey Shore? Surely they blew their whole media budget on this one episode. That's the gayest thing I have ever heard.

I think this article is such a joke. There are people out there who need help today for life threatening addictions, which can kill them NOW. Real hardcore addiction to self destructive activities and I don't think being addicted to being a douche bag counts.
