The cast members of "Jersey Shore" are known for pulling in a pretty penny for nightclub appearances (Snooki got $10,000 recently just to show up in Florida), but things may actually starting to be getting out of hand for members of the MTV reality show.

According to TMZ, two members of the cast -- Vinny and J-WOWW -- were making an appearance at th 501 Lounge in New Jersey recently when a problem surfaced: things got just a little too crowded. The police eventually had to break up the madness, and the two reality stars were told to hide in the closet for the time being.

"Jersey Shore" recently ended its first season after receiving a ton of headlines due to the show's controversial nature. Much of it began with the show's portrayal of Italian-Americans, but then it escalated after a video hit the internet showing Snooki getting punched by a man. The cast has appeared on TV shows across the country as a result.

Are you surprised that the "Jersey Shore" cast is so popular, and do you think they can keep it up? Let me know your thoughts with a comment and stay tuned for more TV news.
