It was a busy summer of running for many competitors in the Jersey Shore Grand Prix of races.
The Jersey Shore Grand Prix concluded at Labor Day's CPC Pier House 5K and winners were recognized for their accomplishments. The series started with the Spring Lake 5 on Memorial Day weekend, and included the top Jersey Shore races of the Belmar 5, Sheehan Classic and Asbury Park 5K.
According to Grand Prix Director Phil Hinck the series offered runners the opportunity to earn pints at each of the 5 events. .
The overall men's winner was Renaldo Reyes of Maple Shade, NJ who earned 420 points. The other top finishers were: Timothy Mulligan 29 Whiting NJ 389, Brian Hill 43 Middletown NJ 334, Robert Ballon 32 South River NJ 305, James Gathoga 31 Newark NJ 300,
For the women the overall winner was Dactilia Booth 34 of Long Branch NJ with 487points. She was followed by Marissa Alberti 32 Monmouth Beach NJ 471, Alison Pilkington 28 Toms River NJ 467, Amber Hart 31 Belmar NJ 463, Dawn Wilcox 37 Little Silver NJ 433
