The Jersey Shore cast, along with other MTV stars, helped raise more than $4200 to help fight hunger in Africa. The money raised through the MTV Fight Hunger eBay auction is enough to feed 140 starving children in Africa everyday for a month!
As Examiner.com previously reported the entire cast donated signed items - everything from sunglasses to books, posters, t-shirts, and a cast meet and greet - for the charity eBay auction. The $4235.67 raised went directly to the FWD campaign, a relief effort for the Horn of Africa created by USAID and the Ad Council.
Other MTV stars also donated items for the MTVAct auction including Rob Dyrdek, Mike Judge, Mac Miller, Nick Jonas, Trey Songz, Sway Calloway, and Kelly Clarkson.
Jersey Shore Season 5 premieres January 5, 2012 on MTV.
