To promote his new album, "Mean Old Man," being released on Sept. 7, Jerry Lee Lewis will be performing at Best Buy in Union Square in New York City at 7 p.m. ET that same day, it was announced on his MySpace blog. The first 200 people to buy the CD will be admitted to the show and receive a free autographed book, according to Best Buy.
The show will also be streamed live at www.liveatbestbuy.com.
The new album will be released in regular (with 10 tracks) and deluxe (with 18 tracks) editions. The disc includes a remake of the classic Lewis song "Middle Age Crazy." Some individual songs from the album were put up on iTunes on Tuesdays in August, the most recent being the title song. One of the songs on the album, "Roll Over Beethoven," features Ringo Starr.
