Jeremy Renner can add a new chapter to his book of life now that his dog, Hemi, is back home. Apparently, the French bulldog took quite the journey once he took off running from Runyon Canyon in Los Angeles. According to MSN's Wonderwall on Aug. 25, the pooch was picked up in Visalia 190 miles north of where Renner last saw him which was when the two were allegedly hiking.
But this situation was no walk in the park for the actor. After realizing his dog was missing he launched a mad search for the beloved pet, having signs made that not only offered a reward of $5,000, but also pointing out that his Hemi was in need of medicine for his hip. He also launched a Facebook campaign in hopes of discovering just where his bulldog had gone.
Happily, these efforts had the desired effect. A month after the tragedy happened, man and beast were reunited with Jeremy Renner posting his thanks for his good fortune on Facebook. He said:
"We don't know what actually happened but he was with a family in Visalia. More to come later, but for now we can all rest knowing that Hemi is back where he belongs. Thank you for your tireless help, support and faith."
The Facebook page that helped bring back Hemi has now been taken down but since the pet's return. Since the incident, this French bulldog has reportedly become equipped with a GPS hidden in his collar and he also underwent a microchip procedure, too. So, should Hemi happen to go missing again, anyone who finds Jeremy Renner's pooch will be able to know what to do to get him back to his rightful owner.
And so, as this chapter of his life resolves in a good way for Jeremy Renner when his dog Hemi was found 190 miles north of his Los Angeles home, the dog's best friend in this situation is more than glad to have his wandering hound back in his own backyard.
