This spring, Captain America and the Black Widow teamed up against 'The Winter Soldier', and now the patriotic super-soldier may team up with another Avenger, as Jeremy Renner told Collider that Hawkeye may suit up alongside Chris Evans in Captain America 3.
"I don't know what's going to happen there. I've got to find the time, man" the actor laughed. "I'm trying to stay home and I can't."
Since 2011, Renner has been playing the role of Clint Barton, one of two 'master assassins' from SHIELD, the super-spy organization that was taken over by the terrorist organization HYDRA -- forcing Cap, the Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), and Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) to go underground and exposed the decades-long corruption. Codename 'Hawkeye', Barton is one of the founding members of 'The Avengers', whose battle of New York against Loki made them 'Earth's Mightiest Heroes'.
Renner already has a busy plate with Kill the Messenger, Mission: Impossible 5, and the follow-up to The Bourne Legacy, where he took over the franchise that was first helm by Matt Damon's amnesiac assassin Jason Bourne. Still, we'll see Renner back with his quiver -- and quick wit -- as Hawkeye in Avengers: Age of Ultron, which comes out May 1, 2015.
Captain America 3 is scheduled into theaters on May 6, 2016.
