The "handsome " mugshot has taken over the Internet and gone viral as convicted felon Jeremy Meeks rose to fame earlier this week. While a lot of women have clamored and fawned over him, there is a lot more to him than a chiseled jawline and piercing blue eyes. As Q13 Fox revealed on June 20, 2014, there is a much longer rap sheet and dark side to the handsome felon.

Meeks is currently facing five weapons charges and one gang charge, but the Internet has gone crazy over him before learning much more. After just 24 hours online, his mugshot had been shared over 10,000 times, gotten 18,000 comments, and attracted more than 60,000 likes.

The felon was caught up with while in prison - so, it wasn't hard to track him down - and was asked about his new fame.

"I just visited my wife and she said that I blew up all over Facebook.[...]I appreciate that but I just want them to know that this is really not me. I’m not some kingpin."

While he's stating that he's not a bad guy, there is a lot more to his prison and rap sheet past than these current charges. Jeremy Meeks has already spent nine years of his 30-years of life in prison for grand theft.

Looking back at his rap sheet, he has charges stemming from both California and Washington. Those charges include faking his identity and resisting arrest.

Let's not forget that he has the teardrop tattoo underneath his right eye. Everyone may not realize it, but that usually signifies taking the life of another person. Yes, a murder.

When asked about the tear drop tattoo, Meeks said he has done some things in his past that he is not proud of. Make notice that he also has some Crips tattoos, and they are one of the most notorious gangs in all of California.

The Stockton Police did say that Jeremy Meeks is a part of the Northside Gangster Crips.

Here are just some of his past charges and sentences:

  • Early 2005 - Forgery charges in Spokane County, Washington caused him to serve 71 days in prison.
  • April 2005 - Arrested for theft and resisting arrest and sentenced to a year in prison with a suspended sentence.
  • 2007 - Charged with negligent driving and driving without a license got him a fine.
  • April 2014 - Resisting the peace.

Further details of the bigger charges and longer prison terms have not been made public.

Public Information Officer Joseph Silva has gone on record as saying that Jeremy Meeks is "one of the most violent criminals in the Stockton area."

Meeks and his family both insist that he is not involved in any criminal activity or gang activity either, even though his right forearm bears a huge "CRIPS" tattoo. It's been said that he gave up the gang life as of seven years ago.

A website has been set up by his mother, Katherine Angier, to help raise $25,000 to get him a fair trial. Many donors are already offering up money and looking for dates with the 30-year-old married felon. One donor even wrote:

"Hit me up when u get out daddy, I got a list of naughty things I wanna do to you."

Angier has been in trouble with the law before as well with offenses including drugs, aiding and abetting a criminal, battery, and trading property for welfare checks

Meeks has a $900,000 bail that his family is also trying to raise.
