CBSsports.com’s Bruce Feldman has reported on Friday September 6, that LSU’s Jeremy Hill will be playing when the Tigers take the field Saturday. It’s likely that Hill will not start, but he might see significant playing time against UAB. The Tigers are 34.5 favorites for Saturday's game.
Jeremy Hill was suspended indefinitely before taking care of his legal issues from the off season. Still, coach Les Miles left the decision up to his peers. The LSU players voted for Jeremy Hill to return and he’s been with the team ever since.
While many people thought Hill would participate in the first game, he stood on the sideline for the whole game against TCU.
Now that he is back in the fold, he might be the best third string running back in the nation. It might take Jeremy some time to get back in the starting lineup too. CBS Sports notes, Alfred Blue and Terreence Magee ran for 184 yards and two touchdowns. Those numbers were enough to help LSU earn a hard fought victory.
Still, the ability of Hill to create big plays will only increase LSU’s chances of winning the SEC West. Hill finished last season with 755 yards rushing and 12 touchdowns. He also made the Top 10+1 top running backs list.
