Jenny Tormey was crowned Miss Clovis 2013 on Feb. 16.
The crowning qualified her as a contestant in the Miss California Pageant. The winner of the state pageant will represent California at the Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City.
The pageant is scheduled for June 25-29 at William Saroyan Theatre in Fresno.
"What a crazy, beautiful experience," she tweeted after the pageant. "I am so honored and blessed to be Miss Clovis 2013."
She describes herself in her Twitter profile as a vocalist, model and performer.
"Love the life you live, live the life you love," she wrote.
"My whole life I have been around music," she wrote on her blog. "People express themselves through many different ways, but for me it was always singing. Like most little girls I was singing and dancing around the house as soon as my body allowed me to do so. Sadly, my parents split when I was only five years old and since then I have called over 22 locations 'home.' The only real home I have ever known in my life is music."
