Jenny Packham Autumn/Winter 2013 : An ode to Parisian nobility (Photos)

Jenny Packham Fall 2013 collection is inspired by the 17th century literary and philosophical movement and the women behind it. Away from the social restriction of the Court, they gathered in magnificently opulent Parisian salons, discussed art and philosophy and celebrated their free thoughts. Packham pays tribute to the sophisticated taste of those women - La Salonnière - with the plush and luxuriant fabrics and rich colors of midnight blue, scarlet reds, smoky black, earthy cinnamon and lustrous opals.

The signature Jenny Packham's beaded style is evident in beautifully embellished, tulle-layered gowns in soft satin, embroidered lace and silk. The silhouettes are feminine -column style gowns gently skimming over the body, some loosely draped for an easy yet polished look and occasional dresses with fuller, pleated skirts. The jewelry for the show was from Jenny Packham Fall 2013 accessories with angular-cut mint and white stones, deep garnet red crystals and smoked topaz exquisitely set in beaten rose gold metal.

Jenny Packham has dressed some of the most iconic and stylish women of our times - including the Duchess of Cambridge and countless movie stars.
