After rumors circulated that Jenny McCarthy would replace Joy Behar on "The View," the star has revealed the she will only temporarily co-host on the popular talk show, reports revealed Thursday, March 21.
Speaking with Extra, Jenny said that she would be guest-hosting once Joy leaves, but it won't be a permanent position. "I will be helping them while they're looking," she said.
Jenny says she'll busy with her own gig, the "Jenny McCarthy Show," which currently airs on VH1, but maybe in the future she could join "The View" full time.
Joy is set to leave the daytime talk show in August when her contract expires, which is when Jenny will step in until a permanent replacement is found. Meanwhile, another longstanding host has been said to be leaving the show as well.
Elisabeth Hasselbeck is rumored to be her way out, although her departure hasn't been quite confirmed yet. It is also not clear whether she's being asked to leave, or if she's exiting on her own accord, if indeed she is leaving.
The conservative leaning host has reportedly already received offers from other networks to join them, including one from CNN, Page Six reported.
