Jenny McCarthy's new show inspired by Hugh Hefner, Playboy (Video)

A new Jenny McCarthy show for VH1 is said to be inspired by Playboy and Hugh Hefner. McCarthy has chosen to do a new program in which she brings her own brand of "sexiness" to late night television.

As reported by Access Hollywood via Yahoo! News on Jan 5., the new VH1 show will be called "The Jenny McCarthy Show," and stars the Playboy model and TV host.

Of her new show Jenny told reporters at the Television Critics Association Winter 2013 Press Tour:

"What is missing in late night -- to me -- is a bit of sexiness. Not that Jay Leno is not sexy, but I l feel like the template that I talked about is 'Playboy After Dark.' And what I love that Hugh Hefner did was kind of have this... sexy, after hours party, but also have really great conversations with his guests. That was really my goal and that's our goal now as we do... rehearsals -- trying to incorporate that kind of sexiness with having really great conversations with celebrities."

While not many guests have been revealed quite yet, McCarthy did interview actor Bradley Cooper of "The A-Team" and "The Hangover" films. McCarthy did that interview laying on the floor as part of a unique segment for the show. The segment will be appropriately called "Groundbreaking Interviews."

Jenny had previously been looking into daytime talk show options, but decided the night environment was better suited for her personality. Jenny's previously had guest star or hosting roles on the sitcom "Two and a Half Men," MTV dating show "Singled Out" and most recently "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve" special.

The new Jenny McCarthy VH1 show is scheduled for a premier on Feb. 8 at 10:30 p.m. Roanoke viewers can catch it on channel 31 via Cox Cable.
