Loyola University Chicago alum Jennifer Morrison will soon appear on the hit TV comedy How I Met Your Mother.


Popwatch reports that Morrison will play the new love interest of series protagonist Ted (Josh Radnor) in a long-term guest arc.  


Having appeared in several movies before, during and since her tenure at Loyola, the Arlington Heights native is perhaps best known for her portrayal of Dr. Allison Cameron on the Fox medical drama House.


How I Met Your Mother's sixth season premieres September 20.
