According to ET, various sources have confirmed that Jennifer Lopez will join the judging panel on American Idol next season.

Just this Thursday, Ellen DeGeneres announced her departure from the show and back in May Simon Cowell also stepped out. This leaves Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi as the two remaining judges for now.
Nigel Lythgoe is returning to Idol as executive producer and it is believed he is going to try and change the format of the show a bit, to try and regain lost viewership.
