Was Jennifer Lopez too successful for married life? People are saying yes.
Actress/singer/dancer Jennifer Lopez or “ J. Lo” announced in a joint statement with soon to be ex Marc Anthony that the two had decided to pursue a divorce. The couple was married for seven years and have two children.
Now it’s coming out that the cause of the divorce may have something to do with being a successful and busy woman. Insiders say there were definite signs that the marriage was headed for Splitsville for some time now. And why? J. Lo is being blamed for working too hard.
“Work is what ultimately is the blame,” a friend of the couple stated.
Though hubby Marc had a full and busy schedule including spending the summer filming the TNT television show “Hawthorne” and still performing live, Lopez seems to be getting all the blame for the marriage ending up in ruins.
Sources say Lopez has never been busier between the taping of “American Idol” where she’s a judge and the release of her new album titled “Love?” Wow, see that foreshadowing there?!
The couple-that means both of them-are also working on a new reality show and have clothing lines at Kohl’s department stores.
An industry insider stated:
“I don’t know any relationship that could survive the juggling of schedules of both Jennifer and Marc...Unfortunately, knowing both Jen [and] Marc, I can tell you that neither of them is capable of putting their career on hold when a great or big paying opportunity comes along.”
It is very common that a woman who doesn’t work is labeled a gold digger. Men complain about divorce costing them the shirts off of their backs because the wife “took him to the cleaners.”
Here we have a very hardworking woman with two children to care for and it seems that everyone is saying she is working too much. Why isn’t anyone saying the same about the man in this marriage Marc Anthony?
Days after the split it was confirmed that Lopez will be going to the Ukraine to perform a private show for a wealthy businessman…for $1 million dollars.
