Jennifer Lopez is prepping to release her 10th studio album, and in between her chaotic duties as American Idol judge, the Latina singer found some downtime and took her assets and talents down to South Beach, where she joined forces with fellow Bronx native French Montana, to shoot a visual for their joint single, “I Luh Ya Papi,” produced by Detail (Beyonce's 'Drunk In Love'). Turning the tables in the scorching clip, the 44 year-old and her gal pals stray away from the conventional video concepts, and turn a dream-like sequence into a rather steamy one.
However, in comparison to this instantly classic video, to which the opposite sex was objectified throughout, this is filled with brawny models that satisfy all of J.Lo’s desires as she unwinds on a yacht decked in an enticing white ensemble – which gives us chills like it was 1997 all over again, feeling as if we dusted off that old DVD disc – and were watching “Selena.”
Jenny from the Block breaks in stride with her dancers patting their baby hairs down, to the approval of Mr. Montana who looks on in glee, and she also infuses a little “Nae Nae” dance in the visual for good measure, because c’mon, who wants it to be a generational gap with the teensters these days? Most especially when you’re not in AARP mode and can still remain fine as wine and not break a bone while doing so. Hit the play button for some fun in the sun with Jenny and her 'Ken' dolls in the Jessy Terrero directed clip above.
