Jennifer Lopez shows off gym-toned physique in Las Vegas

Jennifer Lopez, who landed at No. 7 on the list of Best Summer Bodies, flaunted her tiny waist and toned legs on the red carpet at Pure Nightclub in Las Vegas Sept. 24, 2011.

Lopez, 42, wore a body-hugging Camilla & Marc halter dress hours after performing at the iHeartRadio Music Festival earlier that evening.

Lots of Cardio & Strength Training

Jennifer, who has lost over 50 pounds since giving birth to twins Emme and Max in 2008, stays fit by watching her caloric intake and exercising 90-120 minutes several days a week.

The American Idol judge works out with celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson (the fitness guru of actress Gwyneth Paltrow), doing a series of strength-training moves that work the smaller muscle groups. The workout also includes lots of cardio and stretching.

"We do an hour and a half to two hours every day," says Jennifer, who was No. 1 on People magazine's Most Beautiful list this year. "So you do that three, four, five, sometimes six times a week."

Consumes 1,200-1,400 Calories a Day

Jennifer, a longtime fitness fanatic, has said her biggest fitness secret is portion control.

"Just like anybody, I try to watch what I eat," she says. "There's no big science to it. One good trick is to have a goal - for me it may be getting in shape for a video shoot. Another is portion control.

"I love to eat everything, and you pretty much can - a little piece of something fattening is not going to kill you. It's when you eat the whole box that it's going to kill you."

Jennifer has her meals -- consisting of 1,200-1,400 calories a day -- delivered to her home.

"[If I put on a few pounds] I feel it immediately and I just get a bit more strict with myself," she says.
