White gowns were definitely a dominate color on the red carpet this awards season. And at the Oscars, Jennifer Lopez did not disappoint! Her stunning architectural gown was both intricate, bold, yet somehow subtle. Imagine this gown at a formal, contemporary wedding venue. A chic birdcage veil would be fabulous with this ensemble. The Dress
Jennifer Lopez sported an elegant chalk white gown by Giorgio Armani Prive. In different lighting, it almost had a hue of iridescent pale pink. The fabric was a lovely silk organza with a side train (yes, a train!) accented by Swarovski crystals.
The Hair
A soft up-do with loosely curled bun that is sweeping the wedding scene was thoughtfully put together to bring emphasis to the dress and her face. This wedding hairstyle would be gorgeous with any bridal style.
The Make-up
Jennifer went with a soft yet smokey eye and a perfect nude lip color. Ladies, this is the way you want to go if you really want your eyes to pop! This is definitely and evening wedding look, but can be toned down for a day wedding as well.
The Accessories
J-Lo went with subtle chunky diamond earrings and a simple diamond bracelet. Good for her! Had she gone with loads of jewelry, like chandelier earrings and necklace, it would have been overkill for her entire look. If your dress is that extravagant, keep the accessories to a minimum. And the bag.... loved it! A lovely clutch with scattered oversized Swarovski Crystals.
All in all, it was a great night for fashion.... with some great ideas for brides to be! Kudos, Jen!
