Jennifer Lopez Rivera biopic rumors are denied by family (Photos)

Jennifer Lopez Rivera biopic rumors surfaced earlier this weekend, but now those rumors are being firmly denied by the family. On Saturday, Feb. 16, Yahoo News released a new report stating the latest on the rumors and their denial. The rumors surfaced after a Fox News report stated the singer and actress was interested in producing a biopic on the deceased singer's life.

This would not have been the first time Jennifer Lopez has been involved in a biopic after a Latino singer's death. Her film career had its start in "Selena" back in 1997. However, this Fox Report is not true. The family has come out to say the following about the Jennifer Lopez rumor in a new interview:

"The J.Lo rumor is not true."

Lopez is keeping busy though. Her television series "The Fosters" has been picked up by ABC Family. She was last seen on television as one of the judges on "American Idol" on Fox, but she left the series after a two-year run. Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, and Keith Urban have now joined Randy Jackson on "Idol" judging panel.

Jenni Rivera died in a plane crash back in December. There is talk about the release of a film related to her life, but it could be a concert film similar to what was released after Michael Jackson's passing. A third season of Rivera's reality series will be released in April. The final episodes of "I Love Jenni" will focus on the events before her death.

Scottsdale residents will be able to see "I Love Jenni" on Channel 434 when it returns this April.
