The valley of the sun is about to get a little hotter, Celebrity Fight Night is just around the corner. It’s one of the biggest red carpet and star studded events in the southwest, once a year Scottsdale becomes home to some of the hottest stars in Hollywood for one night and one night only.
This year is going to be amazing with news of Jennifer Lopez just being announced as this years headline performer and she will be receiving the Humanitarian award for her charity work through her foundation “The Lopez Family Foundation” working with children.
According to KSHB NBC news Jimmy Walker founder and President of Celebrity Fight Night said “We’re honored to have Jennifer Lopez give a special performance this year.
Celebrity fight night has been going strong since 1994 when founder Jimmy Walker thought it would be a good idea to bring together athletes for a charity auction. Over the years the event has attracted some of the world’s most famous faces from sports, actors, actresses, musicians, singers and dancers. Stars like Tom Hanks, Billy Crystal, Halle Berry, Reba McEntire, Jordin Sparks, Larry Fitzgerald and Kevin Costner.
The primary beneficiary of Celebrity fight night is the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center at Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix Arizona this charity event has raised $80 million dollars for the institute and other charities.
Celebrity Fight night will take place at the JW Marriott Hotel and spa in Scottsdale on March 23 and Reba McEntire is returning as host.
