Jennifer Lopez isn't on American Idol anymore. The entertainer is multi-talented and not only can she sing, but she can act too. Sharing details about her new movie on Tuesday, apparently it was her time on American Idol that pushed her to get back to acting and take the role in Parker.
“And when I got the chance to do this movie between two seasons of ‘Idol,’” said Jennifer Lopez. “I realized how much I really missed acting. I hadn't done enough of it over the past few years.”
The entertainer has been heavily into music over the past three years. Not only did she put her reputation on the line every week with American Idol in trying to find out the next big star, she released two albums and then went on a world tour. Apparently, she still felt a strong love for acting.
Parker was filmed in-between the commitments of American Idol and it was one of the reasons Lopez turned down judging a third season on the reality show. Opens in theaters nationwide this Friday, the star plays a real estate agent helps pull off the heist of a lifetime while trying to find her own way in life.
As for Jennifer Lopez it appears she knows what she wants to do at the moment. While the entertainer loves to sing, it appears some acting is necessary for a balanced career.
