Another Hollywood couple bites the dust.
Singer/actress/entrepreneur/American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez, sometimes known as J. Lo and husband and singer Marc Anthony have released a joint statement saying they are divorcing. The superstar couple has been married for 7 years and has twin boys.
In their joint statement, they said:
We have decided to end our marriage. This was a very difficult decision. We have come to amicable conclusion on all matters. It is a painful time for all involved and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time.”
The soon to be exes are parents to three year old twins, Max and Emme.
This is actually the second breakup for Lopez and Anthony. They first dated in 1999 before marrying in 2004. Lopez went on to date and marry Chris Judd two years later. They divorced nine months later. While Anthony married a beauty queen, former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres, J-Lo went on to date high profile men such as rapper/producer Sean “Diddy” Combs and then was engaged to Ben Affleck.
No details have been released as to why the famous couple are going their separate ways. Did she cheat? Did he cheat? There’s been speculation that she was just getting too darn successful with all of her entrepreneurial pursuits.
