Jennifer Lawrence took a tumble on her way to the stage when she won the Oscar for Best Actress at the Academy Awards on Sunday, Feb. 24.
The "Hunger Games" star was taken by surprise when her name was announced as the winner of Best Actress for her work in "Silver Linings Playbook," and fell on the way to collect her Oscar. When Jennifer first fell, she took a few seconds to bow her head down on the steps where she stumbled, before she picked herself up again.
However, she got right back up, and graciously continued on her way to the stage. Once there, she smiled and tried to make fun of the whole incident. "You guys are just standing up because you feel bad that I fell and it's really embarrassing, but thank you!" She said to the clapping audience.
Oddly enough, Jennifer suffered another incident on her way to collect a Best Actress SAG Award for the same movie a few weeks ago. The young actress was then caught off guard when her dress seemed to fall apart as she walked on to the stage.
The Christian Dior Gown Jennifer wore at the SAGs separated from the sheer lining underneath, unexpectedly exposing her upper thighs. She was able to quickly pull things back together before she reached the podium to give her speech.
Incidents aside, Jennifer has gained lots of critics' praise for her work in her latest movie and, surely, the will take precedence over her unfortunate accidents at both award shows...
