JENNIFER LAWRENCE IN VANITY FAIR'S FEBRUARY 2013 ISSUE

In Vanity Fair's February 2013 issue, Jennifer Lawrence, The Most Desirable Woman of 2013, shares with her fans just how normal she is but in an unique fascinating way. Examiner.com states that she captured the title of the Most Desirable Woman of 2013 because of her good looks, her charm, and her girl-next-door attitude. She blew us away in her performance in Winter's Bone. She captivated our attention as we fell in love with her in The Hunger Games. Now she is receiving praise about her amazing performance in Silver Lining Playbook where she stars with Bradley Cooper and Robert Dinero.

Lawrence shares how she is an average everyday person like everybody else. She loves to read Gillian Flynn novels. One of her favorite movies is Dumb and Dumber. How can you not love someone whose favorite movie is Dumb and Dumber. During her interview with Vanity Fair she ordered a beef burrito as she and the interviewer discussed her new life. How awesome to see a celebrity order something bad for you and not a salad. How refreshing. You have to love a girl like that. A girl after my own heart.

During the interview Jennifer Lawrence displays her playful sense of humor. She is an interesting read who definitely wouldn't be boring to talk to.

Lawrence was discovered when she was 14 in New York while she was watching street dancing. A modeling scout asked if he could take her picture and she agreed. She didn't find it creepy at all. She gave him her Mom's phone number and later he called and said all these agents wanted to meet with her. But after her meeting with the agents she took a cab back to her hotel and on the way to the hotel she decided she didn't want to be a model, that, in fact she wanted to be an actress. One of the agents gave her a script to audition the next day and she shares:

"It was the first time I had that feeling like I understood this. This is the first time I've understood anything. I always felt like I sucked at everything, that I could never find the thing that I liked."

Lawrence fell in love with acting and has been living out her dreams ever since. I think she found her niche.

Vanity Fair quotes:

"She nay seem casual about her work, but in her brief career she has already shown that she is one of the few actors who can excel in drama and comedy while also anchoring an action franchise. She's a triple threat."

And what a triple threat she is.

She also has a softer side as she shares a touching story while tearing up about this girl from the Make-a-Wish Foundation that was on her set. Lawrence said:

"She had scars all over her body - burns - and she was telling me she was always so ashamed of the way she looked and she was so embarrassed, and now she has the nickname the Girl on Fire (Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games was nicknamed the Girl on Fire because of the flaming cape she wears in her first public appearance), but she loves it and wears it proudly. It gives her confidence. That was the first time in my entire career that I actually felt like there was a point in this. Not to sound rude, but it is stupid. Everybody's like, 'How can you remain with a level head.' And I'm like, 'Why would I ever get cocky? I'm not saving anybody's life. There are doctors who save lives and firemen who run into burning buildings. I'm making movies. It's stupid.' "

Wow! A celebrity with depth and a heart that displays such genuine sincere character with such a down-to-earth attitude.

Vanity Fair asked her is she owns her own bow and arrow. She said that she did and one time she actually almost had to use it for defense. She heard men in her house and got her bow and arrow. She went and checked it out and there were guys working by her patio doors. So, she didn't have to use it after all. But it was a close call. The interviewer said that it would be such a big story if she shot somebody with a bow and arrow. Lawrence quoted:

"That's what all my friends said. They were like, 'We've got to stage someone to break into your house and you can kill them!' That would be the funniest news ever. Katniss Everdeen actually kills someone with a bow and arrow!"

What a wicked sense of humor she has that I love so much.

As Jennifer was leaving the restaurant the two were lunching at, a woman said that she was great in Winter's Bone. Lawrence said thank you. After they walked out, Lawrence shared:

"I don't hear that very much. That's going to put a kick in my step."

Jennifer Lawrence is an amazing actress with star quality. She captures such an essence of mystery on the screen. I think it would be fascinating to sit down and have a conversation with her. I'm guaranteed to absolutely enjoy it and laugh the whole time. I wish every celebrity could be this fun and real. I totally understand why she was voted Most Desirable Woman of 2013.
