Jennifer Lawrence had an assumed dress malfunction at the SAG awards. At first, it was reported that her dress ended up splitting in half as she walked on stage to accept her award. She was in a hurry to get on stage and ended up ripping her dress almost completely around at the top of her thighs, nearly leaving her bottom half exposed to everyone.
Jennifer Lawrence wore a beautiful dark blue Christian Dior gown for the Screen Actors Guild Awards. In a report on Hollywood Life, upon receiving her award for the best performance by a female actor in Silver linings playbook, Jennifer shocked the crowd by showing a little more leg than expected when she stood up. At first, everyone thought her dress ripped, but that was not the case.
A spokesperson for Christian Dior Couture confirms that it was not a rip. “The dress is made with different levels of tulle and satin and that is what the viewers saw when Jennifer lifted her dress slightly. It was not ripped and there was no malfunction, it was the design of the gown.”
