Did Jennifer Lawrence rip Dior gown into a mini dress at SAG awards? (Video)

At the 2013 Screen Actors' Guild Awards last night, Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, the award for Best Female Actor went to Jennifer Lawrence for her portrayal of Tiffany in David O. Russells' "Silver Linings Playbook." However, the coveted statue was not the only thing she snagged when co-star Robert De Niro called her name.

Lawrence, who is recovering from pneumonia, seemed to have ripped her navy Christian Dior haute couture column dress completely in half at mid-thigh. Excitedly jumping up as De Niro gave her the shout-out, the actress was unaware that the train of the gown was wrapped around the leg of her chair. The dress, purposely cut in tiers with a sheer lining, pulled at the hem revealing a little peek-a-boo.

Consequently, as seen in this video captured by Daily Mail Online, Lawrence's designer frock became a mini for a moment as her thighs were exposed while she walked up to receive her award. Nicole Kidman and Marion Cotillard noticed the mishap immediately as both were captured on camera with looks of disbelief and empathy spread across their faces.

Lawrence was recently named spokesperson for Dior Couture. As the actress continues to sweep all of the awards this season for her turn as the wacky sex addict who falls for Bradley Cooper's Pat in the film, Dior designers should rethink the fitted, mermaid-type silhouette for Lawrence in the weeks leading up to the Oscars. With odds of a win in her favor, her red carpet attire will once again be splashed across media outlets worldwide. Lawrence's talent as an actress should not be overshadowed by another fashion "don't."
