Two of the hottest stars from “The Hunger Games” movies are slated to attend the 2013 People’s Choice Awards, which airs nationally on Jan. 9 on CBS. On Jan. 4, network officials revealed the names of this year’s attendees. The list includes the biggest stars of television, film and music. Not only will Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson attend this year's PCAs, but “The Hunger Games” has been nominated for Favorite Movie, Favorite Action Movie, Favorite Movie Franchise, and Favorite Movie Fan Following.
In addition, Jennifer Lawrence is nominated for Favorite Movie Actress and Favorite Face of Heroism. The trio of Lawrence, Hutcherson and Hemsworth are up for Favorite On-Screen Chemistry.
Other stars planning to attend the 2013 People’s Choice Awards include Jennifer Aniston, Ellen DeGeneres, Jensen Ackles, Stephen Arnell, Robert Downey Jr., Regina King, Johnny Galecki, Regina King, Chloe Grace Moretz, Olivia Munn, Chris O’Donnell, Jason O’Mara, Marisa Tomei and others. Kaley Cuoco from “The Big Bang Theory” will serve as host and Christina Aguilera, Jason Aldean and Alicia Keys will perform during the live broadcast.
Fans determine the People’s Choice Awards’ winners, nominees and categories. As of Jan. 4, the 2013 PCAs has logged more than 400 million votes on PeoplesChoice.com, Facebook and Twitter. Voting is closed for most categories, but fans can still vote until Jan. 9 for Favorite Movie Fan Following, Favorite Music Fan Following, Favorite TV Fan Following, Favorite New TV Comedy, and Favorite New TV Drama categories. Now in its 39th year, the People’s Choice Awards continues to be the only major awards show voted on entirely by the public for fan favorites in movies, music and television.
The 2013 People’s Choice Awards will broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre n Los Angeles on Wednesday, Jan. 9 (9:00-11:00 p.m., live EST/delayed PST) on the CBS Television Network.
