Jennifer Lawrence gives public apology to Weinstein and Russell for Oscar speech (Video)

Jennifer Lawrence has realized she made a big mistake during her Oscar acceptance speech. According to a Feb. 26 Yahoo! report, Lawrence has realized an official apology to Harvey Weinstein and David O. Russell for forgetting to give them thanks during her big moment. Jennifer used Entertainment Weekly to get her message out publicly so everyone knows that she appreciates Russell and Weinstein and regrets not letting them know during her speech.

Lawrence beat out much more experienced actresses, including Naomi Watts and Jessica Chastain, for the Academy Award for Best Actress for “Silver Linings Playbook,” which also starred Bradley Cooper. Jennifer had a very eventful trip to the stage to collect her Oscar, tripping on her long gown as she climbed the stairs to the stage. This may have been why “The Hunger Games” star forgot to mention her two mentors.

Harvey Weinstein secured the money to make the film and David O. Russell was the director. Jennifer Lawrence apologized to the two men profusely in the Entertainment Weekly release and calling the lapse a “brain fart.”
