Jennifer Lawrence’s fans can scoop up the Oscar winner’s “Silver Linings Playbook” wardrobe according to a Feb. 26 Reuters report. The clothes worn by her outspoken character in the comedy went up for auction on Tuesday after the Academy Awards ceremony. According to Reuters, auction house Nate D. Sanders is auctioning off items from Lawrence’s wardrobe in the online auction that will end on Thursday.
Following her win for best actress for her turn in the movie, the fashion items are expected to go for high prices, with estimates ranging from between $500 and $1,500. “She's now on the record for having an Academy Award, which definitely gives it (the items) status now,” said Laura Yntema, spokeswoman for the auction house.
Five items, either worn by Lawrence or from her wardrobe on the film, are up for auction with starting bids at $100, including the custom-tailored skin-tight white pants Lawrence wore during the movie’s popular ballroom dance scene with co-star Bradley Cooper, the black, full-length double-breasted Moda International wool coat in a size six, the teal sports bra by Gap Body and an extra-small blue Threads 4 Thought long-sleeved shirt.
And there is something for everyone. The auction also has nine clothing items either worn by or from Cooper’s wardrobe and two items from the wardrobe of Chris Tucker.
