Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper score MTV Movie Awards nominations

On March 5, MTV announced its nominees for the 2013 Movie Awards. Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper and “Silver Linings” playbook received a total of seven nominations, along with “Django Unchained” and “Ted,” which also received seven noms each. Jennifer Lawrence is having the awards season of her life. She’s already taken home an Oscar, plus Golden Globe, Independent Spirit, People’s Choice, SAG and Teen Choice Awards. In 2012, she won an MTV Movie Award for her role in “The Hunger Games.” So, the success train continues to roll along for the talented actress and stars of “Silver Linings Playbook.”

Bradley Cooper received four individual 2013 MTV Movie Awards nominations and Jennifer was nominated five times. “Silver Linings Playbook” was up for an Oscar, but lost to Best Picture winner “Argo.” The film is nominated again as Movie of the Year and it's up against “Django Unchained,” “Ted,” “The Avengers,” and “The Dark Knight Rises.”

The 2013 MTV Movie Awards will air nationally on Sunday, April 14 on MTV. Broadcasting live from Los Angeles, the cinematic showcase will highlight favorite films and performances from the year. Aussie Rebel Wilson will serve as host and Will Farrell will be honored with the inaugural Comedic Genius Award. In the meantime, fans can vote for their favorites at MTV.com now through April 13. For the 2013 Movie Awards, MTV added two new categories: Best Shirtless Performance and Best Musical Moment.
