Three years after her critically acclaimed I Remember Me, Hudson states the new album will be more “upbeat” than her previous efforts, and if the single “I Can’t Describe (The Way I Feel)” is any indication, the singer is throwing it back to a danceable 70’s vibe. Other recently released singles set to be on the album include “Walk It Out” produced and featuring Timbaland, and current single “It’s Your World” with R. Kelly.

Even though Hudson noted a more dance-worthy album, the singer has stated there will be her signature heartfelt songs. The song “Moan” she mentions, is influenced by her mother who “always used to say that if you moan, it’ll make you feel better.”

Hudson is scheduled to return to the Today Show plaza on August 19 performing new material and fan favorites as well. The Today Show are also giving fans a chance to vote picking from three songs for Hudson to sing during her half-hour Toyota Concert Series performance. Choices are “Spotlight”, “If This Isn’t Love”, and “And I Am Telling You I’m Not”.
