"Is he for us?" Cindy asks Jim in the teaser trailer.

As Tim becomes part of their lives, the couple, his new friend Joni Jerome (Odeya Rush) and the town of Stanleyville find themselves embracing the unexpected.

Although Disney and the filmmakers have thus far been coy about the film’s details, teasing audiences about Timothy’s origins and role in the Green’s lives.

"He's a boy with the qualities that his parents hope for," Academy Award–nominated director Peter Hedges (“Dan in Real Life,” “What’s Eating Gilbert Grape?”) told USA Today, but "those qualities manifest in ways they never could have imagined."

While Pittsburgh movie-goers are waiting for the Disney film to be released, they may check out Edgerton’s next film: the upcoming family drama “Warrior,” scheduled for released Sept. 9, 2011.

When the film is released, audiences can expect to see the “The Odd Life of Timothy Green” screen at most Pittsburgh area theaters, including AMC Loews Waterfront 22, at SouthSide Works Cinema and at Waterworks Cinema 10.
