Jennifer Capriati faces arrest warrant for punching ex-boyfriend

Tennis champ Jennifer Capriati may be arrested for punching her ex-boyfriend in the chest with her fists. The former tennis pro could face battery and stalking charges after she allegedly attacked Ivan Brannan, hitting him several times, reports the Inquisitr on Friday, March 8.

The incident happened at the Oxygen Health and Fitness gym in North Palm Beach. Although she was stopped and then let go after leaving the scene, the Florida police are reported to be seeking a warrant for her arrest. Jennifer Capriati may be arrested as early as tomorrow.

It seems that Capriati saw the man she used to date at the gym –whether by plan or accident – and started talking to him. The conversation did not go well, and, according to reports, the champion tennis player began hitting Ivan Brannan with her fists. Bystanders tried to pull the two apart, and Brannan fled into the men’s locker room, where he called 911.

Jennifer Capriati fled. The case is now in the hands of prosecutors, who will decide whether or not to issue a warrant. It may go against her that Brannan had previously sought a restraining order, after his ex-girlfriend had allegedly called him more than 100 times a day.

There is obviously more to this story, and it doesn’t look good for the former tennis pro, who once was ranked first in the world in women’s tennis, and who won a gold medal at the 1992 Olympics.
