Tennis legend Jennifer Capriati was charged with battery after punching her ex-boyfriend on Valentine's Day while he was working out at a gym. According to ESPN on March 21, Capriati was charged by prosecutors on Wednesday.
According to the charges, Ivan Brannan was working out when Capriati walked up and started yelling at him. When Brannan tried to leave by heading to the men's locker room, the tennis star blocked his way and punched him in the chest. Jennifer Capriati was charged with stalking and battery charges and will stand before a judge on April 17.
The life of Jennifer Capriati has not been an easy one. Despite her great success in tennis ever since she began to win at the age of 12, she has seen more than her share of personal problems. In 1993, at the age of 17, Jennifer Capriati was charged with shoplifting a ring, something she claimed was an accident.
Capriati followed that up with a marijuana arrest the next year, in which she entered a drug rehabilitation program. In 1994, she also admitted to contemplating suicide. She remained relatively out of the news for personal problems after that until she was treated for an accidental overdose in 2010/
