Jennifer Capriati has been charged with battery and stalking in Palm Beach County, Fla., reported Yahoo! Sports on March 21, and she is summoned to appear before a judge on April 17. The 36-year-old tennis pro allegedly approached ex-boyfriend Ivan Brannan on Valentine's Day at a gym. When he tried to leave, she supposedly began screaming at him, blocking his path to go into the men's locker room, and punching his chest.
It's another sad chapter in the life of Capriati. Her history has included shoplifting, marijuana possession and drug rehab. She also allegedly overdosed on prescription drugs and supposedly suffers from anxiety about being in public.
Capriati won two Australian Opens and one French Open. In 1992, she won a gold medal at the Summer Olympics.
Despite Jennifer Capriati being charged, there has been some recent good news. She was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2012.
