Jenni Rivera home for sale: Mansion too expensive to maintain (Photos)

Jenni Rivera’s home will be sold by her sister according to a report from Zona De Sabor published on Feb. 3. Rivera, who was tragically killed in a plane crash, owned a $3.3 million mansion in Encino, Calif. Her sister has indicated that the house is too expensive to maintain.

Jenni Rivera purchased the 9,527-square-foot home in 2009. With seven bedrooms and 11 bathrooms, the mansion provided the singer enough space for her large family. It was a prominent part of her reality show on Mun2, “I Love Jenni,” and in one episode she believed the home was haunted. Rivera sought help from Los Angeles medium A.J. Barrera to deal with this.

The Encino mansion features a two-story entry with polished concrete, wood and marble used throughout the property. The house also includes a stainless steel kitchen, waterfall, spa and four acres to enjoy the views. The mansion is gated, so it offers some privacy from others in the neighborhood.

The sale of Jenni Rivera’s home is already becoming controversial with some sources claiming that she did not want it put up on the market. However, her sister, Rosie, has been left in charge of the property and plans to sell it. She is allegedly asking for $3.3 million and is considering the JE United Reality company to handle the process. The 31-year-old is also the guardian of Jenni’s two children under the age of 18. Rosie has stated that the mansion is too expensive to maintain, so selling it is the best option.
