The Jenners were on the runway Wednesday night (Feb. 6) at The Heart Truth runway show. Kris Jenner and her two daughters Kendall and Kylie, participated in showing off The Red Dress Collection. According to a report from late Wednesday, the Jenners were joined by Minka Kelly, Toni Braxton, Kelly Osbourne, and Gabrielle Douglas during this New York Fashion Week event.
This event has been going on since 2001 and it is a campaign that has been designed specifically to reach out to women. Everyone in the show wears a red dress to bring about awareness of heart disease in women. According to the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, heart disease has become the No. 1 killer of women. This event is about creating awareness and empowering women "to take healthy steps to reduce their risk."
Having the Jenners on the runway will certainly bring even more attention to the event, especially with all of the shows that the half-sisters of Kendall and Kylie and the daughters of Kris have been on. The link to Kourtney, Khloe, and Kim Kardashian will only help to propel the mission statement of this cause. It has also allowed the Jenner kids to do something separate from their half-sisters.
