Jenelle Evans confirmed her pregnancy on Twitter early this morning after the news hit the web just one day prior and now, she's opening up to MTV about the first couple of months as well as her relationship and future with Nathan Griffith, whom she met in early June.
"I've been exhausted this whole first trimester," Jenelle revealed to MTV on December 12, adding that despite the morning sickness, she's "feeling good about [the pregnancy."
After meeting each other online in June, Jenelle and Nathan began living together (just days later) and bonded over their not having custody of each of their children. Then, according to the latest reports, they began trying to have a baby of their own just months into the relationship, two to be exact.
"His ex-wife's parents have guardianship [of Emery], kind of like the situation I'm in," Jenelle explained. "He was like, 'No one understands the situation I'm in and that I deal with,' and I said that I could relate to him."
Although it is certainly nice to see that they have a common interest, the fact that they don't have custody of their children isn't something to be proud of. Nor is it something they should have put aside while trying to bring another child into the world.
"We just want a child of our own that we can raise together as a family, and we want a stable relationship for Jace and his daughter. We just want to settle down," Jenelle told MTV.
But why didn't they at least attempt to regain custody of their first children before trying to have a second? If they are so stable and responsible and have the money needed, why not do that first? Now that they chose to do otherwise, regaining custody seems to be something that is being pushed even further into the future -- also behind the pair's upcoming nuptials which Jenelle claims will take place next summer after her divorce from her current husband Courtland Rogers.
In the meantime, Jenelle appear to be very excited about her pregnancy and says she's not at all scared of what is to come now that she and Nathan are "stable," despite him not having a job. "I think it would scare me more if I was in the situation I was when I had Jace. Now, I'm in a stable relationship and I have my own place, my own car, a job…I can pay my bills. I’m just happy with my life right now."
