Teen Mom 2 reality T.V. star Jenelle Evans has filed assault charges against her husband of six weeks. Jenelle, who is pregnant with her second child, accused husband Courtland Rogers of assault and battery to an unborn child at a North Carolina court on Wednesday, Jan. 23.
Jenelle’s attorney, Dustin R.T. Sullivan, confirmed to E! News: “She has taken charges out on Courtland Rogers, her husband. The charges are assault on a female with an unborn child. She made the charges today.”
Jenelle also took to her Twitter page and posted: “I am getting a divorce, ASAP. YOU F****** LEAVE OUT OF TOWN AND I MIGHT BE HAVING A MISCARRIGE?! F*** U, U F****** PIECE OF S***.” Further, Jenelle who had listed her Twitter name as Jenelle Rogers has changed it back to Jenelle Evans.
On Rogers’ part, he has denied the charges. He told Radar Online, “I did not hit my wife. This is not true at all.” The denial comes on the cusp of a Jan. 22 emergency room visit, for Jenelle, in which she was treated for bruises. As angry as Jenelle’s “divorce post” was, she later posted: “And now he just won't answer the phone.” The latest drama for the troubled couple seems to stem from allegations of infidelity on Roger’s part.
