Jenelle Evans' son Jace is over three years old now, and he doesn't have a relationship with his father, Andrew Lewis. While this is partly Jenelle's fault, it is also Andrew's fault because he moved to Florida and now has an active warrant out for his arrest for not paying child support, claims Reality TV Magazine on Feb. 18.
To make matters worse, now he wants to gain custody of his child because he thinks that Jenelle's boyfriend hopping is doing nothing more than confusing him. While this may be true, Andrew isn't a picture perfect father himself considering he can't go visit his child because of his choosing not to pay child support. When Jenelle gave custody to her mother, Barbara, Andrew signed over his right as well, but now he claims he is upset because he "didn't know how permanent it would be."
While both parents bring up valid points; Jenelle is concerned with his drinking and his lack of patience, while Andrew is concerned with her drug use and her parade of men. In either case, it doesn't really matter because Barbara, Jace's grandmother, is the one with custody. Andrew says that he thinks that now is the time to try and get custody because Jenelle is all over the place as it is. If this is a plan that Andrew is serious about, then he needs to pay up so he can begin visiting and getting acquainted with his son before he simply decides that he wants to be a parent. As Barbara told him on the Check Up with Dr. Drew, "Jace doesn't even know what a daddy is. You can't come in announcing yourself as such."
