************** Breaking Story************

It's official - You heard it here first:

The Texas Revolution have made history this season. Last Saturday Jen Welter played in the preseason game for the Revolution at the running back position.

Now, Welter is the only woman to earn a spot (not a kicker) on a final active roster of a men's professional football team. Welter will be in uniform (#47).

Welter, as well as Revolution staff, have been inundated with interview requests and Welter even was even on the Arsenio Hall Show on Tuesday night.

There was, and still are plenty of people who are skeptical of the Revolution’s motives. So much so Charlie Hildbold, Vice President of Operations for the Revolution, even was questioned and even accused of be very irresponsible, as he was questioned by 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh.

She signed a contract like any other player would that has the same stipulations of any other player in our entire league has. We went through the exact process we would for literally any other player.

But when asked by Starkey and Mueller, if he would do it again? Hildbold without hesitation said'

Yes -100%.

She will be part of the 20 active roster for the game for the Revolution when they play the Cedar Rapids Titans on Friday February 21, 2014 live from the Allen Event Center in Allen, Texas.
