Jen Arnold has cancer. The "Little Couple" star has revealed that she is undergoing treatment for a rare form of cancer. On Dec. 6, MSN reported that Arnold has had surgery and has undergone chemotherapy treatments just months after adopting two children with her husband, Bill Klein.
"I have recently been diagnosed with a rare type of cancer and am currently undergoing treatment, including surgery and chemotherapy. I am very fortunate as the prognosis is good. While there is never a good time to get news like this, getting it just as we are building our new family is tough in many ways," Arnold told People Magazine (via MSN Wonderwall).
Jen Arnold, 39, has not said what type of cancer that she has -- only that it is rare. If you are a fan of the show, TLC has revealed that Arnold's diagnosis and treatment will be followed by television cameras in upcoming episodes. It's unknown just how much TLC plans to air, but the network has confirmed that aspects will indeed be covered.
"TLC has chronicled Bill and Jen's lives since 2009, and at their request, we will be following them through this challenge. Jen is a doctor and teacher, and she saw this as an opportunity to educate and possibly help, through sharing her story," the network said in a statement following Arnold's decision to make her cancer diagnosis public.
Jen Arnold and Bill Klein remain optimistic despite the heavy blow.
