Here is a refreshing and delightful Jell-O salad. This recipe is wonderful for a summer treat. It also works out great for a Christmas salad. This is a recipe that can be served any time of the year!
Deanna’s Jell-O Fruit Salad
Ingredients:
- 1 box (3oz.) strawberry Jell-O
- 1 cup hot water
- ½ cup pineapple juice, reserved from can
- 1 can (16 oz) crushed pineapple (save juice)
- 1 cup cool whip, thawed
- ¼ cup chopped walnuts
- 10 maraschino cherries, cut into 4’s
- ¾ cup mini marshmallows
Directions:
Dissolve Jell-O in hot water.
Add pineapple juice.
Refrigerate until it thickens and becomes like a thick syrup. Check after 15 minutes.
Add pineapple, cool whip, nuts, cherries and marshmallows.
Add mixture to a mold or dish and refrigerate until firm. Minimum 4-5 hours. Overnight is best!
