Gospel recording artist Jekalyn Carr announced today, Wednesday, Jan. 23 that her family label, Lunjeal Music has partnered with the Malaco Music Group to release her debut album, “Greater Is Coming” this spring. The 15-year old singer/evangelist’s single, “Greater is Coming” has been growing in popularity and is in the Top 20 on Billboard’s Gospel Songs chart.
Malaco is home to many recording artists and songwriters including Maurette Brown Clark, The Georgia Mass Choir and Lexi. This partnership is a pivotal move in taking the anointed music of this gifted singer to a wider audience and furthering her evangelistic goals.
In an exclusive interview with DC Gospel Music Examiner, Carr revealed what she wanted people to get from her ministry, “I want them to be encouraged and to be restored, be healed and delivered from whatever it is that they are dealing with. I believe that when God gives us a song, there is a message in it to empower people. I want the people of God to be free from all types of captivity that’s holding them captive. I want them to feel deliverance, that all types of shackles are being broken and to be inspired and touched by the music."
Jekalyn Carr will minister in song in the DC area on Feb. 22 at Kingdom Harvest Ministries in Landover Md. To learn more about Jekalyn Carr, visit myjekalyncarr.net.
