Jeffrey Earnhardt, Rick Ware make up

The tiff between driver Jeffrey Earnhardt and team owner Rick Ware seems to be over. Ware announced late Wednesday that Earnhardt would be racing for the team after all this weekend.

On Tuesday the two seemed to have a falling out as Ware issued a statement saying Earnhardt had left the team. Earnhardt later released a statement of his own saying he was surprised at the news. Ware said Wednesday that it all stemmed from a lack of communication and that their issues had been resolved.

“We just want to race,” Ware said. “Sometimes the issues of business just seem to make us lose focus on why we are here.”
Earnhardt has raced for Rick Ware since 2010 when he ran five events and finished sixth twice. In 2011 in three races so far his best finish has been a seventh at Daytona. Earnhardt currently sits 10th in the driver standings three races into the 25 race season.

It now appears that the future for Ware and Earnhardt will be together instead of apart.

“Jeffrey will be in the truck at Martinsville,” Ware said. “We will work hard to continue to keep him in that seat.  The amount of effort we have poured into his career and having a place for him to perform is important in his development.  He is young and there is a lot of promise in him and both the management of RWR and JEI have the same goal for him.”
